Our Story

In 2016, we decided that our love for dogs needed to be shared with the world and thus Gal’s Best Friend was created: a blog and website for modern day dog moms.

Although our original goal was to spotlight dog lovers, while adding value and support to the dog community, we began to grow more involved with the work of rescue groups around the country and even the world.

Over the years we began raising awareness for adoption, animal cruelty, spotlighting the forgotten and lost, even hosting multiple events annually to raise money for local organizations close to our hearts. Empowered by the rescue groups we’ve seen doing remarkable things all over the world, and our own rescue dogs that we love day in and day out, we knew we needed to help more than we already were.

Today, we are excited to take this big leap of faith and add to our amazing brand of Gal’s Best Friend. With The Gals Foundation, we have great aspirations to change the lives of as many animals as possible around the world. But, above all else, we hope to partner with the real heroes: the rescue groups in the most devastating and difficult situations around the world.

We are so proud of the team we have built, consisting of women who all share a passion to help save as many animals as we can. We plan to focus on everything from the basic needs of rescue communities, while helping them spread the word about the wonderful work they are doing and the animals that need the most help. Providing them with the proper marketing strategies along with other beneficial programs is something we cannot wait to do!
