Q: Why are you not helping organizations in the states?
A: Personally, all of us Gals donate and support local rescue groups in our respective cities. However, as a whole, we are aware of the extreme need for organizations in third world and developing countries and communities. These areas tend to have almost no community or government support or the area surrounding is so poverty-stricken that people cannot afford to place any donations. With that in mind, most groups fight daily to meet even the most basic needs of the animals in their community.
Q: How are you vetting the rescue organizations?
A: Each potential partner we connect with is sent a lengthy questionnaire to complete. We also require that all legal and tax documents are sent to us, proving they are an up-to-date non-profit organization in their respective areas. Once these are completed, we connect via Zoom call or in-person to discuss how Gals can best help them.
Q: How are you choosing the rescue organizations?
A: We have been fortunate enough to have traveled to many parts of the world and see firsthand the work that some of our rescue partners are doing. Beyond that, we accept referrals for partnerships from trusted sources and community members who have utilized a specific group’s services.
